Ukraine Freedom Project hosted a delegation of American conservative journalists and opinion leaders in Ukraine
Russia spends more than $2.4 billion annually on propaganda. A significant portion of that money is directed toward the U.S. conservative media ecosystem. One of Ukraine Freedom Project's core missions is to bring accurate, firsthand information from Ukraine to American audiences. While we do not have anything close to the resources russia devotes to propaganda, the truth is on our side—and we have learned that the truth still works.
From May 29 to June 6, 2026, the Ukraine Freedom Project hosted a delegation of American conservative journalists and opinion leaders in Ukraine.
During the 10-day visit, the delegation attended the Black Sea Security Forum in Odesa and the invitation-only Architecture of Security Conference in Kyiv. Their itinerary also included field visits and meetings with frontline military units in Mykolaiv, military embeds, visits to churches and villages affected by the war, tours of Ukrainian drone technology companies, and high-level meetings in Kyiv. Among those meetings was a briefing with Gen. Kyrylo Budanov, as well as a meeting with the Head of the Office of the President, the second-highest-ranking official in Ukraine after President Zelensky.
The leader of the delegation, Omri Rahmil, Managing Partner at Forward Global, reflected on the experience:
“After 10 days traveling across the country, embedding with military units and meeting with civil society, government officials, defense tech leaders, think tanks, and Ukrainian citizens, I’ve come away with one key lesson: Don’t bet against Ukraine. We saw firsthand what happens when an inherent desire for freedom meets unmatched ingenuity and innovation—and it doesn’t bode well for Russia.”
The content produced by the participating journalists generated more than 5.6 million impressions, nearly 200,000 likes, and over 21,000 comments.
